Introduction to Journalism for Beginners.

To get you started you need to choose a feature article from a daily or weekly newspaper, cut it out and attach it to this assignment.

1. Write no more than 200 words summarising the reasons that the content of the article you have clipped appeals to you as a reader.

2. Write an article of your own, between 300-800 words in length. The article should be of current interest to readers of a newspaper.

3. Prepare a title sheet and covering letter to an editor of your choosing. (A title sheet lets an editor see at a glance. Email me for suggestions/sample sheet if not sure.

Remember: An article is to INFORM ~ ENTERTAIN ~ ILLUMINATE.
